Teaching Assistant Level 2 (x3 Positions Available) job summary

Dear Prospective Candidates,

 

Devonshire Primary Academy wish to appoint three permanent Teaching Assistants at Level 2. The posts will involve supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2; if you have a preference for a particular key stage, we would love to hear about it in your application.


These posts are term-time only; 30 hours per week, Monday Friday; with the successful candidates starting 01/09/2025.

  

The successful candidates will be passionate, dedicated, innovative and want to make a difference to the lives of our children. They must have relevant school experience and be able to

demonstrate an understanding of children’s educational development throughout the relevant age range. We would be interested to hear of any particular curricular strengths or areas of expertise/interest.

·        Provide support to the class teacher and assist in implementing the daily routine of a class; and

·        Be able to implement activities for children as required under the direction of the class teacher.

Devonshire Primary Academy is a coeducational primary school with academy status that is situated at the heart of an area of economic and social deprivation in a densely populated part of Blackpool.

The staff team is made up of approximately 80 teaching and non-teaching members and we educate learners aged 3 to 11.

We place great emphasis on our ability to provide a secure, caring and welcoming environment in which everyone has pride in themselves and strives to achieve the highest possible standard of learning, behaviour and attitudes.
