An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join High Point Academy, a brand-new purposebuilt special free school in Friar Park, Wednesbury. Our new Academy will grow to educate up to 90 pupils aged 11-16 years with autism and moderate learning difficulties. High Point is part of Forward Education Trust, a rapidly growing Multi Academy Trust established in 2017 serving special schools across the West Midland area.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting and assisting pupils with autism. We need staff who are confident, patient, nurturing and who want to help us to support our pupils to thrive and develop into successful young people. Successful applicants will be able to contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities with teaching staff in order to plan and deliver high quality educational provision for our young people.

High Point Academy opened in September 2021 for children and young people aged 11-16 years who all have an Education Health and Care Plan and a diagnosis of Autism. The school is part of Forward Education Trust, who specialise in SEN provision. We are increasing our pupil numbers in September 2023 which has allowed for this fantastic new role.
