What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a record of exemplary and outstanding classroom practice;
  • Has high expectations of the children’s learning and behaviour;
  • Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Experienced in establishing and maintaining good professional relationships, particularly in KS2;
  • Is passionate about making teaching and learning creative and committed to raising standards;
  • Is dedicated to making a significant contribution to school life;
  • Has knowledge and experience of working with disadvantaged and special needs children.
  • Has the ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, building relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Has the ability to deal effectively with pupils presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate.

Intake Primary School has a long and proud history as it was first opened in 1884 and has now achieved over 135 years of educational service to the local community.

We are a forward looking school actively preparing children with the skills that they will need to be successful learners in the 21st Century.
