What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated upper key stage 2 team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and personal development. At Morecambe Bay, our aim is to do the very best for every child every day and we are seeking someone who shares this commitment.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities. They will support individuals and groups of pupils across the curriculum and may provide supervision of whole classes during short-term teacher absence. The role involves supporting children's academic, social and emotional development while helping to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Has experience of working with children in a school setting
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Is committed to inclusion and safeguarding
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
