What skills and experience we're looking for

We are thrilled to be opening our brand-new nursery in January 2026🌟

We are looking for nurturing and proactive Teaching Assistants to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our pupils. Working at Unsworth Primary School, you will contribute to inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive.

The successful candidates will have:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient, approach to working with children, including those with additional needs.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths).
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
