Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary

To work with and supervise individuals and groups of children, under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, enabling access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support in classroom management and behaviour techniques and providing specialist support in a specific curricula/resource area.

To support high quality teaching and learning within a school environment, enabling all pupils, including those with SEND, to achieve their full academic, social, emotional and spiritual potential.

To lead targeted interventions and provide specialist support within agreed curriculum areas under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.

To promote pupil wellbeing, inclusion, independence and positive behaviour in line with the school's values and policies.

To lead foundational knowledge and oversee the school library and all it has to offer our students.
