Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary
St-Joseph’s RC Primary School is looking to appoint a Learning Support (Level 3).
The post is 35 hours per week and we would like the successful candidate to start in September. The successful applicant will be effective, organised, enjoy working with children and someone who can work well with other members of staff.
As well as having proven experience of working with primary aged children, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the patience, commitment and passion for developing pupil’s social, emotional and mental health. To have high expectations for their attainment and development, a focussed attitude, personal integrity and professionalism, and the willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of a continuously improving organisation. Furthermore, it is desirable that the candidate has had some experience of working with children with significant emotional and mental health needs.
You will need to have strong communication skills and be able to easily build rapport with children as well as demonstrating resilience, persistence and the ability to discover and implement those strategies which best engage pupils in their learning.
