Teaching Assistant - Nursery job summary

The governors are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to join our successful friendly team. To start in September 2025.

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant who :

Has a flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team
Demonstrates excellent classroom practice with high standards of teaching and learning
Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident
Enjoys planning and leading play- based activities
Is a good team player who is willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the school
Is willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life and support the Catholic Faith
Has a passion for the outside classroom and willing to participate in Forest school activities
Enthusiasm for early years education and a passion for supporting young children’s development
Has a commitment to professional development and the skills to engage positively with practitioners, parents/carers and families
Is fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.

Hours of Work: 14 hours per week 8.30 am - 4.00 pm Thursday and Friday 39 weeks a year

Salary: Grade 3 £8.013 -£8.374 (Actual Salary) Based on FTE £24.404- £25.242
