Part-time KS1 Teaching Assistant

Pay Scale: Grade 5 Point 8 (£25,992 FTE)

Permanent

14 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

Wednesday to Friday 8.30am – 1.15pm

Monkston Primary School is looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and positive thinking KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. The role will include supporting pupils 1:1, small group work, running a daily phonics group and a lunch duty, under the direction and supervision of the class teacher.

What we’re looking for:

• A highly effective Teaching Assistant who understands how to build motivating relationships with children, helping them to make rapid progress.
• A Teaching Assistant who has experience of planning and delivering phonics in KS1, ideally using the Read Write Inc scheme.
• A Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting pupils with SEND.
