What skills and experience we're looking for

Bellefield C of E Primary & Nursery School is seeking to appoint a committed and highly motivated Resource Base Teaching Assistant. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

In this role, you will support the class teacher in delivering a differentiated curriculum within our newly established resource base, helping to ensure all pupils can access learning effectively. The role will involve working flexibly across different classes, providing consistent support while adapting to a range of learning environments and pupil needs. You will clarify instructions, assist with the use of materials and equipment, and provide targeted support in areas such as language, reading, and handwriting to help pupils complete their work. You will be expected to motivate pupils, encourage independence, and apply strategies tailored to individual needs, particularly for those with additional needs or EHCPs. Promoting inclusion, supporting positive behaviour, building self-esteem, and supervising pupils in both classroom and wider school settings, including activities and trips, are key responsibilities. The role may also require providing personal and physical care, including supporting hygiene needs and delivering therapy programmes under professional guidance. In collaboration with teachers and other professionals, you will contribute to planning, monitor pupil progress, communicate with parents, and help maintain a safe, well-resourced learning environment while adhering to school policies and engaging in ongoing professional development.
