Teaching Assistant (SEND) Grade 3 - Permanent Position job summary
St Laurence Church Junior School is looking for exceptional Grade 3 Teaching Assistants, who have experience working with SEND. The roles is for 30 hours per week and on a term time only basis.
We are looking for someone who:
- is nurturing and caring
- is empathetic and has a passionate approach to working with children
- is proactive, flexible and willing
- has the ability to build a rapport with disengaged students
- is confident in working with students with challenging behaviour
- has a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
- has the ability and experience to run small group interventions
- can liaise with teachers, SENDCO and parents
- has experience or an understanding of working with children with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties or learning difficulties, SEMH and trauma
