Teaching Assistant job summary
The Governors of this popular, happy and successful school seek to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to start in September 2022.
We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated assistant, with previous experience in working with pupils, either as a general class TA or with pupils with SEND in mainstream or a special school. This position primarily involves general class support, but with a strong emphasis on supporting the needs of our most vulnerable learners. The role will also include playtime and lunchtime supervision.
Applicants should be skilled, patient, committed and trustworthy and ideally be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 in a relevant area, with prior experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs or as a general class TA. You should be able to demonstrate your skills and commitment to pupils with SEN through the application process, and if shortlisted, through observation of your practice in the classroom as well as an interview.
Working hours will be from 8.45am to 3.30pm. Candidates unable to work Monday to Friday will not be considered.
