Teaching Assistant

32.5 hours per week, term time plus one week

Scale D 5-6 (£25,583 - £25,989 per annum pro rata)

Actual salary per annum £19,242 - £19,548

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.35am - 3.30 pm (usually with one meeting per week until 4.00pm)

Broad Horizons Education Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at St. Clements Hill Primary Academy.

The school, which sits at the heart of a growing community, opened in September 2018 and is situated on the edge of Norwich’s northern ring road. We initially opened with a Reception Class and grew to include our first Year 6 cohort in September 2024.

St Clements is a nurturing and inclusive city school - our philosophy of ‘Here, Children Thrive’ sits at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for candidates who;

  • Have experience working with children in either EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2!

  • Who are willing to be flexible and work across the primary range as required

  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills

  • Can form positive relationships with children, families and staff

  • Are able to support the children within the class and during recreational times

  • Have a calm, patient approach to supporting the needs of children

  • Able to use their initiative to support learning & behaviour

  • Be adaptable to situations and willing to work as part of a team

  • Understand the dynamics of being in a large school and the need for flexibility!

  • Are willing to undertake training and attend meetings as necessary
