EYFS Teaching Assistant

Part-time, fixed-term, term time only role covering maternity leave 19.5 hours per week: Monday-Wednesday 08:30-15:30 (to include half an hour Lunchtime Duty each day and a half an hour unpaid break each day)

St Nicholas CofE Primary School are looking for exceptional staff to take up this exciting opportunity and join our supportive and friendly team.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to be deployed across our EYFS areas to support our children in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures.

Duties include:

Establishing positive relationships with pupils

Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills

Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track

Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work

Lunchtime Duty

General requirements:

An awareness of commitment to equality

Basic understanding of health and safety

Understanding and implementing child protection procedures

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with children in EYFS and have a commitment to supporting and encouraging all children to reach their potential.
