Teaching Assistant - KS1 or KS2
St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy
St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils academically and pastorally, helping them thrive in their learning and personal development within a nurturing, faith-led school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted academic support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Offer pastoral care to promote wellbeing and emotional development.
- Work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Support the inclusion and progress of all pupils within the classroom environment.
Hours
- 25 hours per week
- 5 hours per day
Start Date
- Monday 5th January 2026 (or as soon as possible)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils.
- Ability to support pupils both academically and pastorally.
- Commitment to working collaboratively within a professional team.
Desirable Qualities
- Warm, patient, and approachable manner.
- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate and encourage pupils.
- Commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos and fostering a positive learning environment.
