Teaching Assistant job summary
Following members of our Teaching Assistant staff retiring or leaving to start teacher training , Trent Young’s School are looking to appoint three inspirational and enthusiastic teaching assistants with additional responsibilities to join our friendly and talented team to work across the school. Our school is achieving some amazing things and we are looking for people who can motivate and support children to achieve highly, and who will want to become an important part of our close-knit team.
The roles available are
2. 2. Teaching assistant 08:30 – 12:00 Monday - Friday
3. Teaching assistant and wraparound care supervisor 13:00 – 17:30 Monday – Friday
Roles 2 and 3 could be combined to create one full-time post.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Real energy and enthusiasm for learning;
- High expectations for all pupils;
- A commitment to work closely with colleagues to share and develop skills and expertise;
- A commitment both to the professional teaching team of the school and to the wider school community;
- A commitment to supporting and upholding our school’s Christian values.
In addition the wraparound care supervisor will need to be highly organised and proactive.
