Teaching Assistant job summary

Required to start in September 2022, an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work as a Teaching Assistant. You will be calm with the ability to be firm and patient and have excellent written, numeracy and oral communication skills. Training and support will be provided. The Main Purpose of Job: To assist the Headteacher and teachers in the development and implementation of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables students to achieve their full learning potential and facilitates their social and moral development. Support is both on a one to one basis and in groups, to students with additional learning needs. This may include students with a high learning ability (‘gifted/talented’). This may take place in the mainstream setting or in the SEN rooms.
