The Mendip School are seeking to appoint hard working, resilient and dedicated teaching assistants to work with our children aged 4-19 with a diagnosis of Autism and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

The post holders’ responsibilities include providing general classroom support, meeting pupils’ emotional, social and physical needs, supporting behaviour and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.

We would encourage anyone with special school or mainstream experience to apply although full training will be given to the right candidates. We are looking for candidates who have the ability to;

This role will include working with:

Pupils in our learning for life cohort. This will include supporting learning of a functional academic curriculum, supporting learning of therapeutic targets, a wide range of sensory activities and strategies and community access.

Supporting other areas of the school where appropriate
