Teaching Assistant x2 job summary
We are seeking to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants to join our hardworking, dedicated and collaborative team, on a fixed term contract, based on SEND funding, until 31 August 2026. The roles are for 22.5 hours a week. The hours of work are flexible to the right candidate but will be 5 days a week. The role will include whole class support, 1:1 support and group work as directed by your line manager.
An understanding of the principles of trauma informed practice, what makes effective learning, a reflective but dynamic approach, good communication skills and a passion for making a difference to all children, are essential requirements for this post.
You will work as part of a team, under the direction of the SENDCo to ensure all children are receiving the best possible education to achieve their fullest potential and give them the best possible education to reach their full potential.
We expect our staff to be able to calm and nurture children, provide positive behaviour management and be able to support their social and emotional needs. We are an inclusive school and our children are at the heart of everything we do. The role would suit someone with experience of working with children with additional needs across the primary range.
