What skills and experience we're looking for

Working with or caring for children in a classroom or educational setting

Experience of assisting children to use resources for learning.

General understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning

Understanding of child development and the learning process

Understanding of the importance of opportunities for social skills development during break-times/outside of the classroom.

Experience of using of ICT to support learning

We need Level 2 Teaching Assistants who are:

  • Able to provide continuity, stability and high-quality support for pupils

About the Role

  • Supporting pupils with classroom learning and routines
  • Assisting with learning activities planned by class teachers
  • Building trusting relationships to help pupils feel secure
  • Promoting communication, independence and engagement
  • Supporting personal care, feeding and individual medical needs (full training provided)
  • Contributing to active, inclusive break‑time experiences as part of the duty team
