Teaching Partner (EYFS / Key Stage One) job summary

Grade 3 (26 hours, term time only plus Inset) fixed term to 31st August 2027.

The Catholic School of St Gregory the Great is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Partner to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage One team. This is an exciting opportunity to support young learners at a crucial stage in their development within a welcoming and faith-filled school community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning across EYFS or Key Stage One. You will play a key role in helping children to develop socially, emotionally and academically, ensuring they feel safe, supported and inspired every day.

Key Responsibilities

- Support pupils’ learning in the classroom, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis

- Help to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

- Support children with additional needs where required

- Provide appropriate support for pupils’ personal care needs, including assisting with toileting and changing, in a respectful and dignified manner

- Promote the Catholic ethos and values of the school in all aspects of school life

The Ideal Candidate Will:

- Be patient, caring and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development

- Be comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs in a sensitive and professional way

- Have strong communication and teamwork skills

- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

- Support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school (you do not have to be Catholic to apply)
