We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Technician Demonstrator to join our thriving Animal Studies team, delivering engaging practical sessions across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes.Make a real impact on student development by supporting learners to develop their vocational and practical skills through teaching, assessment, work-related experience and industry-focused activities.

Work in a diverse and engaging Animal Centre environment, gaining opportunities to work with a wide range of species while supporting practical sessions and maintaining high standards of animal husbandry, care and welfare. You will contribute to the day-to-day running of the Animal Centre, including feeding, cleaning, health and safety checks, maintaining records and resources, administering medication where required, and developing and implementing enrichment programmes. You will also support learner placements, liaise with veterinary professionals and contribute to providing high-quality learner experiences across the provision.

Be part of an ambitious and supportive team within a department committed to animal welfare, industry engagement, innovation and continuous improvement, with opportunities for professional development and career progression. You will have a Level 3 qualification or above in an animal-related specialism, professional animal handling skills and at least one year’s relevant industry experience, including experience of working with and/or managing a diverse animal collection. Experience of teaching, training and learner development would be advantageous.
