Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Technician to support our school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with a passion for practical learning, technical support, and helping students and staff to succeed.
The successful candidate will initially support the Design Technology department. As part of our commitment to efficient and flexible support services, the role may develop to provide technical and practical support across other curriculum and operational areas, including Science, Art and Reprographics.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Has experience working with tools, equipment, machinery and materials in a practical or technical environment.
- Demonstrates strong Health & Safety awareness (including COSHH and risk assessments)
- Is highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Can work both independently and as part of a team
- Has strong communication skills when working with staff, students and suppliers
- Is confident (or willing to train) in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, TechSoft 2D Design
- Has experience supporting students (KS3-KS5 desirable)
