  • Do you want to work in a vibrant, multi-faith, multicultural school that is founded on mutual trust and respect?
  • Are you excited by the prospect of integrating technology and the latest research-based teaching methods in a dynamic classroom environment?
  • Do you want to be part of a collaborative team that is dedicated to raising standards and unlocking the potential of every child?

If so, then we want to hear from you!

The Role:

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Therapeutic Intervention Lead to support in our inclusive and nurturing secondary school setting. Under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher (Mental Health Lead), you will coordinate and deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions that respond to the diverse and complex needs of our young people.

You will play a key role in delivering responsive, first-line emotional support and leading provision in our Holistic Therapeutic Space (HTS). Your expertise will guide the development of personalised support plans, behaviour strategies, and effective interventions, particularly for learners who are care-experienced, post-adopted, or experiencing trauma.

Working collaboratively with external services, families, and multi-agency professionals, you’ll ensure cohesive, well-monitored support is in place. Your insight into emotional regulation and ability to respond proactively to need will be essential to fostering a safe and engaging school environment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with secondary age students
  • An interest in barriers that affect young people and a restorative/trauma-informed approach to working with children
  • Resilience and an ability to remain calm whilst dealing with students who may be dysregulated or present challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Christian ethos and values.
