Trust Compliance Officer job summary

This role is advertised as a full-year, full-time position, however, we are happy to consider part-time and term time arrangements for the right candidate. The minimum requirements for part-time, term time would be 30 hours per week, term time + 3 additional weeks.

Our Central Trust Team works collaboratively to keep systems running smoothly ensure clear communication and provide schools with the right support at the right time. We are now seeking an experienced and proactive Trust Compliance Officer to join our Estates Team and play a key role in safeguarding our schools through effective compliance management and assurance.

Reporting to the Director of Estates, you will support all Trust schools in achieving and maintaining full compliance with statutory and Trust estates requirements. You will take ownership of our Trust's compliance management system, lead audit and assurance processes, and work closely with school leaders and site teams to ensure our schools remain safe, compliant and inspection ready.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact across our growing multi-academy trust, helping to drive continuous improvement and provide assurance that our estates meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. Experience within the education sector or a multi-site organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.

To be a good fit for this role, you will be someone who;

  • Has experience of compliance, estates, facilities management, health and safety or a related field
  • Has excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Is confident analysing information, identifying risks and driving corrective actions
  • Can build positive working relationships and influence colleagues at all levels
  • Has experience of auditing, reporting and maintaining accurate records
  • Is confident using compliance management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Can work independently whilst managing multiple priorities across a number of sites
  • Has a commitment to maintaining safe, compliant and well-managed school environments
