Trust Deputy Headteacher job summary

An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and inspirational leader to work as a Deputy Headteacher supporting our Trust and school improvement team, with a focus on inclusion. We are a South East Essex Multi Academy Trust, currently comprising three secondary schools and one primary school: The King John School in Benfleet, The James Hornsby School in Basildon, Castle View School in Canvey Island and Laindon Park Primary School and Nursery in Basildon. We are seeking applications from candidates with the right skills, experience and potential to add to our dynamic Multi Academy Trust. This post will predominantly be based within The James Hornsby School, and the responsibilities associated with this post will include SENCO for James Hornsby, oversight of our innovative ‘Zenith Minds’ and enhanced provisions on The James Hornsby site and SEND provision across the whole Trust. The Trust is determined to ensure that no child is left behind, and central to this aim is ensuring that our pedagogy, curriculum offer and interventions, as well as staff knowledge and expertise all enable our student with SEND to flourish. All the students in our care deserve the very best from our schools and the successful candidate will have a deep resonance with the Trust’s Mission, Aims and Values, which should be clearly reflected at both the application and interview stages.
