Trust Education Welfare Officer job summary
The successful applicant will:
Lead on, and be accountable for, initiatives to support the Trust leadership in meeting its strategic objectives for attendance across all groups and settings to be above the local and national average.
Advise the Trust leadership on data-informed strategies to address attendance issues and trends occurring within our Trust schools.
Provide a central education welfare service to promote positive attitudes towards regular attendance for schools within the Trust, to improve attendance levels and to support the requirements of the Trust’s schools to fulfil their legal obligations.
Provide direct support to families and schools where there are issues affecting school attendance by monitoring data, undertaking home visits and working with school staff to maximise school attendance and minimise absence.
