Trust Finance Assistant job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable, confident and experienced Trust Finance Assistant to join our supportive and friendly Trust Central Team.

The Central Trust Team are a cohesive highly skilled group working collaboratively at our purpose-built central office in Oadby, Leicestershire. The role will be primarily based at our central office with the opportunity to work with and regularly visit our schools.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed finance assistant to undertake day-to-day operational financial transactional processing, reconciliation and reporting, working closely with the Trust Finance Manager and the Chief Finance Officer. The post is full time, 37 hours per week, all year round and is fully office based.

The Trust Finance Assistant supports the central finance function and will contribute to a wide range of financial processes and systems, assisting with the effective provision of financial management across the Trust, and the provision of professional support and guidance to all schools and extended services within the Trust.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • at least 3 years’ experience of working in a finance role
  • experience of finance within the Education environment
  • a relevant qualification or be studying towards this, or equivalent experience
  • good communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders
  • a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • strong attention to detail
  • a willingness to learn, develop and progress
