Trust Lead – Secondary School Performance and Transformation job summary

This is a Trust-wide senior leadership role with the opportunity to influence the education and life chances of over 12,000 young people, by working alongside school leaders and staff.

As a newly formed Trust which will grow from 29 schools in September 2026 to 67 schools in September 2027, our mission at St. Raphael the Archangel is clear:

Forming Christ-centred pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for justice.

As Trust Lead for secondary standards, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with principals, teachers, staff and leaders in our schools, alongside the Trust CEO, MAC CEOs and the wider Executive Team, to design, lead and embed transformation programmes. From the outset, you will have the opportunity to work with secondary colleagues joining St. Raphael the Archangel CMAT in September 2026 and those joining in 2027, enabling you to play a pivotal role in shaping the Trust's approach to secondary school improvement.

You will:

  • Collaborate with school leaders and experts across our ten secondary schools and sixth forms across Coventry, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire to codify, co-design and embed the very best practice, ensuring that innovative approaches are shared and scaled across the Trust.

  • Coach and mentor practitioners, strengthening leadership capacity across the Trust.

  • Work directly in schools, supporting curriculum, teaching, assessment, inclusion, behaviour and culture.

  • Lead improvement initiatives that raise standards rapidly, while building communities of hope and respecting the uniqueness of every school community

  • Develop a high impact, meaningful self-improving school system across the secondary schools which is rooted in high quality collaboration at all levels.

  • Champion equity and inclusion, ensuring every decision reflects our hunger for justice.

  • Develop and sustain school-wide cultures where kind hearts and high expectations go hand in hand.

This role is ideal for an experienced secondary principal, vice principal, senior strategic leader or trust leader with a proven track record of transforming secondary schools through hands on leadership, visible presence and deep collaboration.

If you are passionate about working in secondary schools to help young people grow in faith, knowledge, character and justice, we would love to hear from you.
