Further details about the role

At Reignhead School we create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, one in which each child feels safe, secure and valued. Our school motto is "Together We Belong, Together We Grow, Together We Succeed" and we are passionate about Reignhead children achieving the highest possible standards in their work, in their attitudes to life and as good citizens.

For the academic year 2025/26, we are seeking to appoint an excellent key stage 2 teacher to provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for our children. Due to falling numbers, this post will be temporary until August 31st 2026.

The successful candidate will have a strong classroom presence and very good interpersonal and communication skills. They will teach in upper key stage 2 and will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the curriculum and model good classroom practice.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people; we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers. The successful candidate will complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Children’s Barred List check.

Reignhead is a warm, inclusive and welcoming primary school with our own on-site nursery. This means the majority of our children begin their educational journey with us at three-years-old. Our aim is that every child at Reignhead feels safe, valued and, quite simply, loves coming to school!

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated deputy headteacher with vision, drive and commitment. The post will have a teaching commitment (to be determined) and will carry DSL, assessment and attendance responsibilities.
