As part of Solent Academies
Trust, Mary Rose Academy, is an ‘Outstanding Specialist Sports College’ for
pupils aged 2-19 years, with severe, complex and profound learning difficulties
and additional needs, including pupils with physical disabilities.

We are seeking
to appoint a talented, dynamic and forward-thinking Vice Principal for our
exceptional school. You will be
enthusiastic about challenge, have high
expectations, lots of energy and committed to working with children with severe
and complex learning difficulties, to ensure they achieve their very best.

The Vice
Principal plays an important role in the overall leadership and management of
the school. We are looking for an experienced leader who is an exceptional
practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for pupils.
The successful candidate will have the highest standards of themselves and
display an authenticity that builds trust and maintains excellent relationships
with others. You will offer thoughtful and considered contributions to whole
school leadership and be able to drive forward improvement in your areas of
whole school responsibility through intelligent thinking, methodical
implementation, and effective evaluation. You will strike the very careful
balance between offering highly effective support and development to those that
you lead, alongside providing rigorous challenge and accountability. The unique
nature of working at Mary Rose Academy means the successful candidate will need
to be highly flexible and will thrive on working in a fast-paced environment
where no two days are the same!

We are a special school for 181 pupils aged 2-19 years, situated across three sites in Portsmouth. We provide a highly specialist, personalised curriculum for young people with the most profound, severe and complex learning difficulties.
