Wrap Around Care Assistant job summary

The role will require:

To assist the School as appropriate to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the club

To encourage, and provide a safe, stimulating environment for the children, with creative and play opportunities

To assist in ensuring the safety of all those children at the club

To act in a responsible manner towards the children at all times

To be responsible, with other team members, for ensuring that play materials and equipment are properly used, maintained

To assist with the day to day administration and record-keeping

Preparing and serving an afternoon snack to the children

Escorting children

About the successful candidate

  • Experience of working with parents and carers from a range of cultural backgrounds, encouraging full participation in their children's play and learning opportunities
  • Experience of working as part of team providing high quality childcare services
  • At least 2 years' experience of working with children in the 4-11 years age range and their families
  • Knowledge of child protection issues and policies and relevant Safeguarding procedures
  • Already holding a first aid and/or food hygiene qualification would be advantageous.
