Wraparound Care Leader - Breakfast Club job summary

Heytesbury Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Breakfast Club Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our before-school provision.

Contract: Fixed Term (until 25th March 2027). Working Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7.40 am until 8.40 am, 38 weeks, no Teacher Training days. Required: April 2026.

We are a caring and vibrant small primary school with mixed age classes, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. Located in the village of Heytesbury, near Warminster, Wiltshire, our school has close links with the local community and the church of St Peter & St Paul. We believe that every child has a unique brilliance waiting to be discovered, nurtured and celebrated, and encourage all our children to aim high, learn, and grow in order to reach their full potential. Our dedicated staff work hard to ensure a well-rounded education and learning environment, which supports and challenges pupils to prepare them for academic success and life as responsible, caring, and confident individuals. In 2017 we joined Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.

The successful candidate will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children who attend. This role involves planning and organising a range of activities suitable for primary-aged children, taking into account their interests and developmental needs.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
  • Is self-motivated, energetic and proactive and will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality education and care for all of our children;
  • Has experience of working with children in a play / educational setting;
  • Has Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one);
  • Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
  • Is a strong team player able to support colleagues within a small team;
  • ]Has a positive and flexible attitude;
  • Can demonstrate a warm and caring approach with children;
  • Is First Aid trained (advantageous).
