Year 1 Teacher 100% Maternity Cover job summary
Required from 1st September 2022, the school governors are seeking to appoint an excellent, committed and experienced teacher to join the Key Stage 1 Phase Team on a temporary basis to cover the maternity leave of one of our teachers with full responsibility for a Year 1 class.
This job is likely to last until August 2023, in line with the expected return date of the permanent staff member on maternity leave.
We need a teacher who:
- has a strong knowledge of primary teaching and learning, especially in Year 1
- has a strong knowledge of developing early reading and phonics
- can demonstrate high quality creative teaching and learning
- is highly motivated and will contribute to the continual improvement of the school
- is able to support the positive ethos and values of the school
- will be able to ensure excellent progress and promote the success of every child in the class

Greystones Primary School is a three-form entry school situated in the south west leafy suburbs of Sheffield, approximately two miles from city centre, serving a cosmopolitan and aspirational neighbourhood, with a normal roll number of 630 pupils.
