Are you ready to be a beacon of best practice?
The Federation of North Walsham Infant and Junior Schools is seeking an exceptional Year 6 Teacher to join us as a Transformational Teaching Lead (TTL).
Our school serves an area of high deprivation, which means every lesson you teach and every strategy you implement has the potential to make a monumental difference in the lives of our children. Our families need us, and our children deserve an amazing teacher and leader who sees their brilliance through the barriers.
As a Transformational Teaching Lead, you won't just be an outstanding practitioner in your own Year 6 classroom; you will become a beacon of best practice within our school community.
You will work within our school to:
Provide live examples of strong to exemplary teaching for colleagues to observe.
Anchor our collective approach to the BHET Teaching and Learning Cycle.
Support consistent teaching approaches across the school.
Articulate and talk through the pedagogical decisions that drive your success.
Why Join Us?
A Unique Setup: The benefits of a shared site mean you can influence a child’s journey from Reception all the way to Year 6.
A Support Network: A dedicated staff team who are all in for our community.
Professional Growth: We invest in our teachers. Whether it’s NPQs or specialised SEN training, we’ve got your back.
Accreditation: Receive formal accreditation from the Julian Teaching School Hub at the end of your CPD cycle.
Expert Training: Receive external training from the Central Education Team (CET) to refine your practice to an exemplary level—all conducted within school time.
Career Progression: You are encouraged to use the Transformational Teaching Lead title on future job applications as a mark of your expertise.
Focus on Teaching: This is not a management role in the traditional sense. You will not be expected to undertake additional work or work outside our school setting. Your impact comes from your brilliance in the classroom.
What We Are Looking For:
We want a teacher who can demonstrate and explain the key factors of the teaching and learning cycle, specifically showing strength in:
Inclusive Practices: Ensuring every child, regardless of background, can access high-level learning.
Teacher Behaviours & Routines: Creating a calm, purposeful environment where learning is the only priority.
Assessment for Learning: Using live marking and feedback to move children forward in the moment.
Previous experience of teaching in an advantage but not essential
