Situated on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border and close to the market town of Hitchin, the school also benefits from being within 5 minutes drive of idyllic countryside locations, yet being 5 minutes from the M1 and London Luton Airport.

We are now looking to appoint a Year Support Assistant to join our team. This is an essential role in the school to ensure that our high expectations regarding the progress and welfare of our students are met, including student behaviour, attendance and pastoral support.

Key duties

Responsibility for:

  • behaviour and attitudes to learning

  • monitoring student progress and standards of attainment

  • students’ achievement and welfare

  • effective communication with students, parents and colleagues

  • supporting the welfare of students by taking breaktime or other supervisory duties

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Dependant on experience

Job Role: Permanent, Full-time, Term time only

Hours: Full time hours, 8.00am – 4pm Monday - Friday.
