What skills and experience we're looking for
The appointed person will work in close partnership with the relevant class teachers and will help to support three pupils to engage with their learning. In-service training will be provided where appropriate.
The role is to provide 1:1 support each day for three pupils, currently in Key Stage 2. You will provide SEND support, implementing an element of education provision, as detailed in the children’s EHCP.
This role would be an exciting opportunity for candidates to make a difference in three children’s schooling journey. The role is temporary, subject to each child’s continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special needs.
In addition to the teaching assistant hours, there are 5.4 further hours available worked over 5 lunchtimes per week (12:15pm – 13:20pm per day) as a Mealtime Assistant at Grade A (£11.60 per hour). The post holder will engage with pupils during the lunch time break to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for them.
