1:1 Teaching Assistant job summary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a school with high expectations, strong behaviour, and a clear focus on high-quality teaching and learning. Our approach is rooted in mastery lesson design, ensuring all pupils secure strong foundations and make sustained progress over time. This role will be delivering a more bespoke curriculum to support a child who is awaiting a specialist setting. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting children with ASC and communication needs.

The Stour flows past us on one side whilst on the other, the local farmer allows us to explore his fields and forests - we have our own forest school area which all children visit regularly. The church is next door and we hold assembly there regularly.

Our 2026 OFSTED report recognised that we are strong in all areas The inspector was hugely impressed by the outstanding behaviour and attitude of our children, and the warm, nurturing relationships that exist between all members of the school community.

• A committed member of the team who will support teaching and learning as direct by the class teachers.
• Someone who will take on a cover role and will be willing to plan, mark and teach as needed.
• Has a good understanding of the primary curriculum, including phonics
• Has strong behaviour management and high expectations for all pupils
• Can adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Is reflective, organised and committed to ongoing professional development
