The Academy Safeguarding, Welfare and Attendance Manager (SWAM) is a key pastoral leadership role responsible for promoting the safety, wellbeing, attendance and engagement of all students. Working closely with academy leaders, families and external agencies, the postholder will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring robust safeguarding practices, high-quality pastoral support and effective attendance interventions are embedded across the academy. The successful candidate will lead on complex safeguarding matters, support staff development, analyse and use data to drive improvement, and champion a culture where every child feels safe, supported and able to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
