Working pattern: Part time: 36 hours 40 minutes per week - Term time plus 5 days (195 days)
Contract type: Permanent
Full-time equivalent salary: SO2 NJC 26-28 - (£37,280 - £39,152)
Additional allowances: SEN - £1,539 per annum

What skills and experience we're looking for

A strong desire to ensure young people, who have often had very negative experiences of education in the past, develop their skills to the very best of their ability.
Ability to work with students 1:1 And in group
Previous experience of working with young people of secondary school age who may present with challenging behaviour and complex SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs, preferably within an educational setting
Experience of leading a team of staff, managing and analysing data
Working with a case load of young people
A nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour management
The physical and emotional resilience to support students with complex needs, taking a non-judgemental approach
The ability to support teaching and learning within an SEMH setting to a dedicated group of students
The ability to model and encourage appropriate social behaviour in and out of school and to cater for the general welfare of students.
The ability to work as part of a team using own initiative when needed willingness to participate in own professional development
