What skills and experience we're looking for

To provide efficient and effective reception, clerical and administrative support to school staff, to enable them to maximise their delivery and assist in achieving its purpose and objectives.

The role will undertake a range of basic administrative tasks as required and requested, with support from colleagues and the School Business Manager.

Twerton Nursery & Infant School is a 2-form entry infant school with an onsite Nursery for 2- and 3-year-olds. We are an LA Maintained School, and we work closely with 3 other Maintained primary schools, in BANES, within the South Gloucester Learning Alliance, which provides wide-ranging support and CPD. The school has a long-established reputation for being both inclusive and responsive to children’s individual needs.

We have an excellent on-site Forest School, providing fantastic outdoor learning for all children, including those with additional needs. We also follow the Thrive approach, which supports children’s wellbeing and mental health. Our motto is ‘Play, learn, grow; live well together”.

We enjoy close community links and receive support from:

Bath Recreation – additional PE provision.

Bath City Football Club – Play Support and afterschool club

This is a Fixed-Term position working on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, from 8:30am to 12:00pm (noon). There is the option of a further 4 hours being Monday and Tuesday mornings from 8:30am to 10:30am. It is very likely that the post will continue, however it will be subject to a review in May 2027.

Flexible working opportunities

There is flexibility of either 10.5 hours or 14.5 hours per week.


Option 1: Wednesday to Friday - 8:30am to Midday (10.5 hours)

Option 2: Monday to Tuesday - 8:30am to 10:30am (4 hours)

Option 1 + Option 2 = 14.5 hours per week.
