We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin and Finance Officer to join our fantastic team at Grange School.Grange School provides exceptional education for pupils aged EYFS to KS5 with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). We’re looking for a friendly, well-organisedAdmin and Finance Officerto help keep our busy school running smoothly. This varied role combines general office administration with some finance support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of tasks and being at the heart of school life.

This is a fixed term contract for one year, full time working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £22,710 pro rata and the full time equivalent is £26,403 Grade 4.The post is to start as soon as pre-employment checks are complete.

What you’ll be doing

This is a varied and rewarding role where your attention to detail and ability to multitask will make a real impact. Reporting to the School Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the school office
  • Providing a warm welcome to pupils, parents, and visitors
  • Managing correspondence, diaries, and meeting arrangements
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling data securely
  • Assisting with processing invoices and orders (training provided)
  • Supporting school events, trips, and communications
  • Helping with pupil welfare and first aid (training provided)

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in an administrative role (school experience helpful but not essential)
  • Good IT and organisational skills
  • A friendly, professional communicator who enjoys working with others
  • Someone reliable, flexible, and eager to learn new skills

Grange School

The Grange School in Levenshulme, Manchester, provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Catering to pupils from EYFS to KS5, Grange offers a bespoke education through a stimulating environment and the Know and Remember Curriculum, ensuring access to the National Curriculum with engaging activities. The Grange School is a special school located in Levenshulme, Manchester which provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Grange offers a bespoke education for a wide range of pupils between EYFS and KS5 through the provision of a carefully planned and stimulating environment where the pupils can explore, investigate and learn. Our bespoke Know and Remember Curriculum has been devised to ensure pupils have access to all the statutory content from the National Curriculum, delivered through engaging and challenging classroom activities. Pupils are set targets each term and progress is measured throughout the school year using our bespoke pupil data system.

Grange School offers some of the most exciting and engaging curriculum enrichment activities to support the pupil’s learning. We have an on-site farm with alpacas, pigs and ducks, alongside guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises and a gecko. An enhanced learning area called the Know Globes supports the delivery of the Remember More Curriculum, and a full-size role play area known as Imagination Village enables pupils to practise real-world skills such as using money, work in our on-site post office and mail delivery service or experience several other real-world settings, including a grocer’s, a doctor’s surgery, a vet’s, a bakery and a mechanics garage.

KS4 and KS5 have a curriculum designed around the world of work and offer accredited courses in English, maths and PSHE in KS4, along with a range of qualifications as they move into KS5 – including Active Sports and Leisure, Catering and Hospitality and Construction, to name but a few.
