About this Role

The Candidate

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our welcoming primary school team.

As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, you will play an important role in creating a warm, professional and welcoming environment within our school.

The role will include:

  • Providing a friendly and professional reception service to parents, pupils, staff and visitors
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate school records and carrying out general administrative duties
  • Managing correspondence, emails and school communications
  • Supporting attendance and pupil administration
  • Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the school office
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
  • Supporting the Headteacher and school staff with administrative tasks

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is friendly, approachable and professional
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is well organised and able to prioritise a busy workload
  • Has good IT and administrative skills
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates discretion and understands the importance of confidentiality
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with children and families
  • Ideally has previous experience in a school or administrative/reception environment
