Administration Officer job summary

We are looking to appoint an Administration Officer to support the running of our friendly and successful Outstanding rated (December 2023) Infant and Nursery school.

Our ideal candidates should be friendly, nurturing and professional with excellent communication skills and a good eye for detail. They will work with our children, parents and the staff team and external suppliers and customers. They must be able to use their own initiative, balance priorities and organise an effective work schedule in order to meet multiple needs.

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive, collaborative office team working who flexibly within their day to day work to help colleagues and meet the needs of the school. They will have strong IT skills, including able at using all aspects of Microsoft Office, and ideally Arbor.

Experience of working within a school environment is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

The role is for a minimum of 21 hours per week over 3 days, 8.30am-4.00pm, Wednesday and Thursday and 8.00am-3.30pm on Fridays. You will work term time (38 weeks) plus five inset days and 5 professional days to be worked during school holidays (pro-rata). There is the possibility that we can increase this to up to five days. We would encourage candidates to apply and indicate what their availability would be.
