Administrative Assistant job summary

Are you an organised, friendly, and proactive individual looking to make a real impact in a vibrant school community? Following the promotion of one of our team to Senior Administrator, we are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join us as soon as possible - someone who, working as part of the wider admin and resources team, can seamlessly manage both administrative tasks, the demands of a busy school reception and student information point.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has a welcoming, calm, and professional presence at reception

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Is confident managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Is proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning school systems

Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding

Is wiling to undertake first aid training and become one of the community of staff with responsibility for first aid (an additional payment is made for this responsibility)


Along with the wider team, the role will include support for (but not limited to), HR, Examinations, Data Management Pastoral and Learning Support Teams whilst also working in student information and main reception on a rota basis. The role is 37 hours per week term time only, 38 weeks in total.

The Administrative Assistant reports to the Administration Manager and is part of the Admin and Resources Team who provide main reception and student information management, resources, library support and admin services to the school. The team currently comprise of six members of staff.
