Administrator (Events, Communications & Recruitment) job summary

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and organised Administrator to join our administrative team to assist in delivering a smooth, efficient, and welcoming service.

In this varied role, you will be the central administrative contact for school events, key communications, staff recruitment logistics, and front-of-house reception duties. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment, good ICT skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and be a self-motivated team player.

Key responsibilities:

  • School Communications & Events: Coordinate content for the termly school newsletter. Manage and update the whole-school calendar, and oversee administrative logistics for school trips, parents' evenings, and clubs.

  • Recruitment: Provide administrative support for staff recruitment, acting as a primary point of contact for candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing candidate packs, and coordinating interview day logistics.

  • Office Administration: Deliver front of house service for parents, visitors, and staff. Maintain manual and computerised pupil records on the school Management Information System (MIS) securely.

Prendergast Vale School is a small all-through school providing high quality education from nursery to Year 11, which aims to transform the lives of all the children who attend the school. Hours: 35 hours a week, 9.00am- 5.00pm, term time only i.e. 39 weeks, including 5 inset days.

Salary: Scale 4, (point 8-10), £33,515 - £34,488 (pro rata)
