Some administrative experience.
A current first aid certificate.
Childcare qualification or a willingness to work towards in NVQ in Playwork.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and supervise pre-planned activities suitable for children of different ages and abilities.
- Set up the areas to be used before the children arrive at the Club, ensuring that the environment is welcoming, safe, and clean at all times.
- Providing full care including collecting children and delivering to their class/ the club/ the parents or carers.
- Be responsible, with other team members, for ensuring that play materials and equipment are properly used, maintained and stored and for reporting any worn or damaged materials to the Wrap-around Supervisor.
- Supervise the children while they eat their snacks.
- Providing safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities, organising and preparing activities, being aware of inclusion of different minority groups and those with disabilities.
- Support children with homework as and when appropriate.
- Ensure the well-being of all children attending the club, adhering to the school’s safeguarding policies.
- Administering first aid as appropriate.
- Record, or supervise, the recording of any accidents/incidents in the accident book.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Liaising closely with parents and carers in a nurturing and professional manner.
- Work as a team to ensure after school club duties are covered under the direction of the supervisor and in line with agreed policies.
