Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in early years education? Badocks Wood E-ACT Primary is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Apprentice Early Years Educator to join our welcoming team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, working towards your Level 3 qualification while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a vibrant Early Years setting. You will support the learning, development and wellbeing of young children, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the pupils with additional needs to ensure that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress.
  • To be involved in the planning and preparation of the day to day class activities.
  • To assist in maintaining an inclusive learning environment both in the classroom and outside.
  • To work as part of the team to ensure that the well being and personal development of the pupil enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
  • To participate in relevant professional development under the direction of the Learning Leader for Additional Needs

Pay range: 37 hours per week - 39 weeks per year- Pay Scale Apprenticeship - £8 per hour - 18 months fixed term

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent
  • Ability to motivate pupils to be sociable by applying appropriate knowledge and strategies
  • Ability to work with an individual child or with a group
  • Ability to extend children’s thinking skills
