Apprentice Marketing Assistant job summary
About the Role
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Apprentice to join our marketing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in marketing while gaining practical experience across content creation, social media, events, communications, and brand management.
You will support the delivery of marketing campaigns, create engaging content for a variety of channels, promote events and achievements, and help strengthen the organisation's presence within the local community.
The role is highly varied and will suit someone who enjoys being creative, working with people, and bringing ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications
Create engaging content for digital and print channels, including social media, newsletters, photography, video, and promotional materials
Write and publish news stories, articles, and marketing content that showcase achievements, events, and success stories
Support the creation of displays, branded materials, and wider communications across the organisation
Digital Marketing
Help manage and grow the organisation's social media channels with creative, on-brand content
Support the maintenance and development of the website, ensuring content remains accurate and up to date
Monitor marketing performance and engagement metrics to help improve future campaigns
Events & Campaigns
Support the promotion of events, open evenings, performances, and other key activities
Capture photography and video content at events and help evaluate campaign effectiveness
Assist with recruitment, engagement, and awareness campaigns aimed at students, parents, and the wider community
Brand & Marketing Support
Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications follow brand guidelines and maintain a professional standard
Support the delivery of the organisation's marketing plan and contribute ideas for future campaigns
General Responsibilities
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, attend meetings, undertake training, and comply with safeguarding, data protection, and organisational policies

Candidate Requirements
Right to work and live in the UK
GCSE English and Maths at Grade 6/B or above
Educated to A-Level standard equivalent or higher
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Creative mindset with an interest in marketing, content creation, photography, or social media
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexible attitude and willingness to occasionally support evening events
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, or similar creative software
Experience creating content for social media platforms
Experience with photography, video creation, or editing
Experience updating websites or using content management systems (CMS)
Qualifications in Media, Design, Photography, Marketing, or other creative subjects
An understanding of relevant legislation concerning Safeguarding
The Apprenticeship
This role forms part of the Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship delivered by The Marketing Trainer.
Over the 15-month programme, you will develop knowledge and skills across:
Campaign Management

Social Media Marketing
Brand Management
Digital Communications
Marketing Analytics and Reporting
Customer and Audience Insight
Project Management
Professional Communication Skills
All training is delivered remotely through small-group workshops, one-to-one coaching sessions, practical workplace projects, and online learning resources.
In addition to the apprenticeship, you will also complete a CIM Foundation Certificate at no additional cost, meaning you will achieve two recognised marketing qualifications.
