Data Officer job summary
Data Officer
Salary: £25,000-£35,000 (FTE) plus benefits including: Local Government Pension, Health Care Cash Plan, Generous Staff Discount scheme, at least one personal leave day per year.
We're looking for a Data Officer to join our team at The Hyndburn Academy. Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience or interest in school data?
You'll work closely with curriculum teams, leadership and external organisations to help maintain the highest standards of data integrity, regulatory compliance and learner support, making a real difference to the success of our provision.
The Data Officer will report into the Cluster Data Manager and work with colleagues at Accrington Academy and Marsden Heights Community College.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain the school's Management Information System (MIS)
- Ensure pupil data is accurate, up to date, and compliant
- Produce reports and analyse data for senior leaders
- Support attendance, admissions, and census returns
- Work closely with school staff to ensure the smooth running of data processes
The successful candidate must:
- Have excellent IT, organisational, and communication skills
- Have a high attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information
- Have a proactive and reliable approach to work
- Someone who shares our moral purpose of ensuring that all of our young people receive the best education possible in a supportive environment from people who care about them.
- Someone who has excellent organisational skills and knowledge of different ICT packages available.
